* The Star *

You know what I was thinking after the dicussion in class.....
  • How in the world does Mr. Nail figure out ALL that from reading the same thing I read ?
  • This story is amazing when you understand what the author is trying to tell you.
    • I was disappointed when I read this story at first. I really expected more because Mr. Nail usually picks out pretty good stuff. But, then I realized that it was me not him.
    • The author wrote this story really well. I wonder how he thought it up. The way people write like that really amazes me.
  • It is thought provoking...
    • What would people do if we found out that there was no God ?
      • I think that if there was no God people would do one of two things.
      • They would be in denial and keep on believeing in him or they would completly give up on the world.
      • And there could be one more possiblity... they could have had another religion and it doesn't affect them.
      • The irony in this story about about how one good thing happen in the place of another. Some times I think that, that is just the way things have to be to keep it balanced.
      • In order to for the world to be balanced it must sacrifice one good thing for some thing bad. And some thing of that magnitude means only one thing that a civilization had to be distroyed in this case.

If one thing is sacrificed for the place of another then what are the novas sacrificing for the universe? If they are being destroyed then the sacrifice must be something good for someone else?

If people found out that god didnt exist, would people turn mad, because think about it people usually try to stay good for the lord. But if they find out no god exists they will have no faith to stay good. Wild.

-Yes, Iagree that people would probly turn mad if they found out that there was no God, but if you really believed in God you would look for other explinations, like the one I told you about the rapture coming instead of he just for no reason distroying a civilization.
-i am not really sure what the novas would be sacrificeing for, but does it matter they don't have feelings? they are just some thing to be made and distroyed, and studied while they are here.
